Our most recent adventure was the snow. I wasn't convinced we were going to sneak it in this year but we got there. I... wanted to share the Kosciuszko Tourist Park with you. Hippo had made all of the arrangements and I had no expectations of what we were turning up to. Though a power site for the aircon was high on the list. This Park is 15mins from Smiggin Hole and another 5mins to Perisher. It surprisingly enough is within the Mt Kosciusko National park. We arrived (everyone still alive and accounted for 8 hrs later) and I was amazed at the amazing bush camp that we had arrived at. I was thinking more like concrete slabs not beautiful bush camp with endless trees. We are suckers for natural surrounds and bush camping. This place was truly cool. Each spot had its own fire pit with swinging cooking plate. The showers were super hot and they had even thought of a heater over the basins, so you didn't get cold whilst brushing your teeth😁 There were no bells and whistles, but there were lots of kangaroos!!. The kids immediately thought we sucked once again because we didn't stay somewhere with a jumping pillow. But I think if your doing the snow right, then their little eyes should be falling out by the time they get home. And they were 😉😉😉 The host was really nice too and also let us park our van for day use whilst we milked every last minute. Cant wait to stay again for Mountain Biking!read more

great spot to camp for skiing at perisher in our caravan had snow on the ground the day. facilities are good, great hot... water showers,great fire pits.read more
