By making a Booking or checking in, you (“Guest” or “you”) agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) between you and Kosciuszko Tourist Park (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
1. Definitions & Park Operator
1.1 Park: Kosciuszko Tourist Park, 1400 Kosciuszko Road, Jindabyne NSW 2627.
1.2 We/Our/Us: Kosciuszko Tourist Park (ABN 77 629 224 317), owner/operator of the Park.
1.3 You/Your/Guest: The person(s) making or holding a Booking.
1.4 Booking: A confirmed reservation for accommodation or a campsite, made via phone, email, in person, or on our website.
1.5 Booking Confirmation: The email or SMS you receive once any required payment has been successfully processed.
2. Changes to These Terms
2.1 We may amend these Terms at any time without prior notice.
2.2 Updated Terms will be published at https://www.kosipark.com.au/terms-and-conditions.html and apply from the date of publication.
2.3 Continued use of the Park’s facilities or services after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of those changes.
3. Rates, Promotions & Taxes
3.1 All rates are in AUD and include GST. Any new or increased government levies at the time of stay will be passed on to you.
3.2 Rates may fluctuate based on booking date, season, demand, or special events.
3.3 Promotional stay-and-save offers (discounted rates for 2-, 5-, or 7-night stays) are non-refundable. The full booking amount is charged immediately, regardless of when the Booking was made.
3.4 One (1) standard vehicle per Booking is included. Additional vehicles incur a $20 AUD per vehicle, per night fee (payable at check-in).
4. Booking, Deposit & Payment Timing
4.1 Deposit Structure (Standard Rates)
- If you book more than 7 days before arrival, we charge 50% of the total booking amount at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 8 days before arrival. Once the remaining balance is charged, the full booking amount becomes non-refundable.
- If you book within 7 days of arrival, the full booking amount is charged immediately and is non-refundable.
4.2 Non-Refundable Rates
- Stay-and-save promotional rates (2-, 5-, or 7-night packages) and any other advertised non-refundable rates require full payment at booking and are entirely non-refundable.
- Due to system limitations, we may not be able to charge the full amount online—but you will still be charged the full amount if you cancel.
4.3 Booking Confirmation
- Your Booking is confirmed only when any required payment has been successfully processed and you receive a Booking Confirmation (email or SMS).
- If a payment attempt fails, we will notify you by email. You have 24 hours to provide another valid payment method. If payment is not received within 24 hours, we may cancel your Booking without notice, and any amounts already paid will be forfeited.
4.4 Late Arrival
If you arrive after our office closes, you will receive an SMS with check-in instructions (typically after 6 pm). You do not need to notify us in advance of a late arrival.
4.5 No Refunds on Early Departure or No-Show
Early departures and No-Shows (failure to arrive) are not eligible for any refund under any rate.
5. Cancellation & Amendment Policy
5.1 Standard-Rate Cancellation Fees
(Applies only if you did not choose a non-refundable rate.)
- More than 14 days before arrival: we retain 25% of the total booking amount; the remaining 75% is refunded.
- 8–14 days before arrival: we retain 50% of the total booking amount; the remaining 50% is refunded.
- Within 7 days of arrival: 100% of the total booking amount is non-refundable.
5.2 Refund Timeline
Refunds for eligible cancellations under section 5.1 will be credited to the original payment method within 7 business days of cancellation confirmation.
5.3 No Refunds for Early Departures or No-Shows
Under any rate—Standard or promotional—there is no refund for early departures or No-Shows.
5.4 How to Request Cancellation or Amendment
All cancellation or amendment requests must be submitted via our online form only:

We do not accept cancellation or amendment requests via phone or private email.
5.5 Amendments (Standard Rates Only)
Non-refundable rates (including stay-and-save promotions) cannot be amended.
General Rules for Standard-Rate Amendments:
- Like-for-Like Changes (≥ 15 days before arrival):
If you keep the same length of stay, same nightly rate, and same accommodation type, and space is available, no amendment fee applies. - Shortening Your Stay (removing nights):
• If you shorten more than 14 days before arrival: we retain 25% of the cost of the nights you remove.
• If you shorten between 8 and 14 days before arrival: we retain 50% of the cost of the nights you remove.
• If you shorten within 7 days of arrival: 100% of the cost of the nights you remove is retained.
• In all cases, the amount we retain cannot be less than one night’s rate. - Lengthening Your Stay (adding nights):
• If you add more nights 15 or more days before arrival: no fee to keep your original dates, and you simply pay for the extra nights at the published nightly rate.
• If you add more nights 8–14 days before arrival: we retain 25% of your original total booking amount (but not less than one night’s rate), and you also pay for the additional nights at the published nightly rate.
• If you add more nights within 7 days of arrival: amendments (including adding nights) are not permitted. - Minimum-Night Requirements & Snow-Season Restrictions:
• If your new dates fall during a period with a published minimum-night rule (e.g., Christmas/New Year, Easter or NSW winter school holidays), that minimum still applies. If you request fewer nights than the minimum, we may be unable to confirm your amendment.
• From the June long weekend through end of September (Snow Season), no Saturday check-in or Saturday check-out is permitted for these cabin types: Two Bedroom Chalet (upgraded or standard), Cedar Cabin, and Three Bedroom Chalet. If your requested new dates include a Saturday arrival or departure during Snow Season for one of these cabins, we may be unable to process your amendment and will contact you to explore alternatives. - How to Confirm an Amendment:
1. Submit your request using our online form (link above).
2. We will calculate any retained fee or extra-night charges based on the timing and type of change requested.
3. We will send you written confirmation showing your new dates, the amount retained as an amendment fee (if any), and any balance due (or refund owed).
4. Your amendment is not final until you receive that confirmation email.
5.6 Non-Refundable Rates
Promotional stay-and-save offers and any other advertised non-refundable rates do not permit cancellations or amendments.
6. Security Bond
6.1 A security bond is required at check-in for all cabin Bookings:
- Summer (October–May): $100 AUD per Booking
- Winter (June–September): $300 AUD per Booking
6.2 The bond will be refunded to the original payment method within 7–14 calendar days after check-out, provided:
- No damage to the cabin or Park assets
- The cabin is left clean and tidy (no excessive cleaning required)
- No outstanding charges remain (e.g., extra vehicles, smoking breaches, facility damage)
6.3 If damage or breach of Park rules is discovered after check-out, we may retain part or all of the bond to cover repair and cleaning costs. Any amount in excess of the bond will be invoiced to you, payable within 14 calendar days of the invoice date.
7. Minimum Stay Requirements
7.1 A three-night minimum stay applies from 20 December to 5 January (inclusive).
7.2 A two-night minimum stay applies during Easter school holidays and NSW winter school holidays (dates published annually).
7.3 Bookings shorter than these minimums during those periods may be approved at our discretion and may incur a surcharge.
8. Occupancy & Guest Count
8.1 Each cabin and campsite has a maximum occupancy limit (stated on our website and in your Booking Confirmation), including all adults, children (2–15 years), and infants (under 2 years).
8.2 Infants under 2 years stay free but count toward the occupancy limit.
8.3 If your party size exceeds the maximum occupancy and you do not inform us prior to check-in, you will be charged for the maximum occupancy rate and asked to leave the Park without a refund.
8.4 Unapproved additional occupants will also be charged for full occupancy and may be asked to vacate without refunds.
9. Accessibility & Special Needs
9.1 We do not offer dedicated accessible accommodation; however, we do have:
- A disabled-accessible toilet block
- Amenities that are generally wheelchair-friendly
- Upgraded two-bedroom chalets with walk-in showers
9.2 If you have special requirements (e.g., wheelchair access), please contact us at stay@kosipark.com.au at least 48 hours before arrival so we can advise on the most suitable cabin or site.
10. Parking & Vehicles
10.1 One (1) standard vehicle per Booking is included. Additional vehicles incur a $20 AUD per vehicle, per night fee (payable at check-in).
10.2 All vehicles must be registered at check-in and parked in designated parking areas. Vehicles blocking roads, fire exits, or other sites may be towed at the owner’s expense.
10.3 Vehicle speed within the Park is limited to 10 km/h.
10.4 Unregistered, unroadworthy, or oversized vehicles (longer than 6 metres without prior approval) are not permitted on Park premises.
11. Health, Safety & Hygiene
11.1 We are committed to providing a COVID-safe and hygienic environment. Guests must comply with any government or Park-mandated health and safety protocols in effect at the time of stay.
11.2 Guests exhibiting flu-like or COVID-19 symptoms should not remain at the Park; any costs due to illness-related early departure are the Guest’s responsibility.
11.3 All cabins, amenities blocks, and communal areas are strictly non-smoking and non-vaping.
12. Check-In & Check-Out
12.1 Check-In: From 3:00 PM onwards.
12.2 Check-Out: By 10:00 AM.
- 12.2.1 Failure to vacate by 10:00 AM incurs a day charge at the prevailing nightly rate.
- 12.2.2 If you vacate between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM and space is available, you may extend your stay for an additional night’s charge at the same nightly rate.
- 12.2.3 If no space is available for a late check-out, you must vacate by 10:00 AM; a full extra night’s charge will apply and you will be asked to leave.
13. Firewood & Fire Policy
13.1 All open fires are permitted only in designated fire pits.
13.2 Guests must purchase firewood from Reception—your purchase supports a local regional business and helps us maintain clean, safe fire pits.
13.3 Collecting timber from Kosciuszko National Park is illegal; fines apply under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
13.4 During a Total Fire Ban or any Fire Danger Rating of “Severe” or above, fire pits will be closed. Breaching fire bans may result in immediate eviction without refund and fines.
14. Damage & Responsibility
14.1 Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft they cause to cabins, campsites, Park facilities, fixtures, fittings, or equipment.
14.2 We may deduct from the Security Bond any costs needed to repair or replace damaged property, plus any cleaning costs required to return the accommodation or facilities to a rentable condition.
14.3 If repair costs exceed the Security Bond, you will be invoiced for the difference, payable within 14 calendar days of invoice date.
15. CCTV & Security
15.1 CCTV monitors all public, communal, and vehicle-access areas of the Park for guest safety and security.
15.2 By staying at the Park, you consent to this monitoring.
15.3 We are not liable for loss, damage, or injury caused by third parties or events beyond our control (e.g., storms, wildlife).
16. Privacy & Personal Data
16.1 We collect, store, and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy:

16.2 By providing personal data, you consent to its use for booking administration, marketing (if you opt in), safety and security (including CCTV), and legal obligations.
16.3 We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment processors).
17. Wi-Fi Access
17.1 Our network name is “Kosipark Wifi.”
17.2 Wi-Fi is paid access only. You must purchase Wi-Fi vouchers directly on your device by connecting to “Kosipark Wifi” and following the on-screen instructions.
17.3 If you pre-purchase a Wi-Fi voucher before arrival, collect your login credentials or physical voucher from Reception at check-in.
17.4 Use of our network for unlawful activities (e.g., illegal downloads, file sharing) or excessive bandwidth consumption (streaming video, large file transfers) is prohibited. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate network access for misuse without notice or refund.
18. Use of Park Facilities
18.1 Guests must comply with all rules, signage, and staff directions relating to communal facilities (BBQ areas, camp kitchen, playground, laundry, amenities blocks, etc.).
18.2 Use of any communal facility is at your own risk. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of these facilities except where required by law.
18.3 Any damage to communal facilities caused by you or your visitors will be charged to you and may be deducted from the Security Bond.
19. Liability for Personal Belongings
19.1 We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings during your stay.
19.2 Guests are encouraged to secure valuables in a personal safe (if provided) or make alternative arrangements.
20. Occupancy & Guest Count (Re-emphasis)
20.1 Each cabin and campsite has a maximum occupancy limit (stated on our website and in your Booking Confirmation), including adults, children (2–15 years), and infants (under 2 years).
20.2 If your party size exceeds the maximum occupancy and you do not inform us prior to check-in, you will be charged for the maximum occupancy rate and asked to leave without refund.
20.3 Unapproved additional occupants will also be charged for full occupancy and may be asked to vacate without refunds.
21. Pets (Not Permitted)
21.1 No pets are allowed on Park premises, due to our location within a National Park.
21.2 Any attempt to bring a pet will result in Booking cancellation without refund, removal from the Park, and forfeiture of the Security Bond.
22. Smoking & Vaping
22.1 Smoking or vaping inside any building—including cabins, amenities blocks, and communal areas—is strictly prohibited.
22.2 Breach of this policy will incur a $300 AUD cleaning fee per incident.
22.3 Smoking or vaping is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. All cigarette butts, vaping cartridges, and other waste must be disposed of in provided ashtrays or bins.
23. Quiet Hours
23.1 Quiet hours apply daily from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
23.2 Excessive noise, loud music, or disturbances during Quiet Hours may incur a $200 AUD fine per incident, eviction without refund, and forfeiture of the Security Bond.
23.3 Guests must ensure their visitors, including children, observe Quiet Hours at all times.
24. Guest Behavior & Conduct
24.1 Any behavior jeopardizing the comfort, safety, or well-being of others—including harassment, discrimination, intoxication-related disturbances, or excessive noise—may result in immediate eviction without refund.
24.2 Guests must comply with all reasonable requests from Park staff and posted signage. Failure to comply may lead to removal from the Park without refund.
24.3 Illegal activities (possession of illicit substances, theft, vandalism) are strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.
25. Site Preferences & Relocation
25.1 We will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate your site or cabin preference, but specific locations cannot be guaranteed.
25.2 In exceptional circumstances (maintenance issues, extreme weather, emergencies), we may relocate your Booking to another site or cabin of equal or greater value. We will notify you as soon as practicable if relocation is necessary.
26. Lost Property
26.1 Items left behind after check-out will be stored securely for 30 days from the check-out date. Perishable items may be discarded immediately.
26.2 Unclaimed items after 30 days will be donated to charity or disposed of.
26.3 Lost property may be collected in person with valid photo ID during Park hours, or we can arrange postage at your expense (packaging and shipping fees apply).
27. Right of Removal & Eviction
27.1 We reserve the right to remove any Guest (and their party) from the Park for breach of these Terms, disruptive behavior, or unsafe conduct, without refund.
27.2 All costs incurred due to eviction (e.g., transportation, alternative accommodation) are the Guest’s responsibility.
28. Reservation Transfer
28.1 Bookings are non-transferable without prior written approval from Park management.
28.2 The person named on the Booking must be one of the registered guests, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
29. Force Majeure
29.1 A “Force Majeure Event” is any event beyond our reasonable control (e.g., bushfires, floods, storms, heavy snowfall, government restrictions, utility failures).
29.2 If a Force Majeure Event makes it unsafe or unlawful for you to travel to or stay at the Park, we may, at our discretion, offer a refund, credit, or rescheduled dates without penalty.
29.3 We will not be liable for any loss, expense, or damage you incur due to a Force Majeure Event.
30. Travel & Public Liability Insurance (Recommendation)
30.1 We strongly recommend you obtain comprehensive travel insurance—covering trip cancellation, personal injury, loss or theft of property, and public liability—prior to arrival.
30.2 We exclude all liability for any loss, damage, or injury to you or your property except as required by law.
31. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
31.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
31.2 Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
